Volvo FH16 700 the most powerful truck ever created!

Volvo FH16 700 the most powerful truck ever created!
Volvo Trucks has managed to pull out a 700 hp and 3,000 Nm of a 16-liter engine, building the most powerful truck in history. Its name is Volvo FH16 700, a monster of 700 horsepower that has a more than impressive engine. This model is actually a more powerful version of the FH16 model, which has basic engine version of 660 horse power. The group of engineers who developed this project worked for three years developing this model of Volvo which they say can face all challenges. The new Volvo FH16 700 was tested on the toughest rolling surfaces of the Australian desert, the Northern provinces of Sweden or at altitudes of 3,600 feet in the Rocky Mountains. The new Volvo FH16 700 meets all Euro 5 standards. Has a Swedish truck engine is an intercooled turbo, 6 cylinder of 16 liters; since starting off users will dispose of 1,000 Nm.

Future trucks on green tape

The 2020 Volvo Concept Truck is the vision of the future Volvo Trucks, which can move in columns for long distances controlled by the autopilot on green corridors that will link the continents.

These visions gave birth to the concept, but it would look like in 10 years? Rikard Orell, Design Director at Volvo Trucks said "that's the idea" that "progress” is increasing rapidly. Much of the technology will be embedded in the already existed concept and the rest needs to be developed.

Safer and more efficient form of transport

Due to continuous expansion of transport, safety and efficiency will become the main issues to betaken into account in developing future models of trucks. This concept has many ideas on how these objectives can be achieved, a lot of them can go into production today, being are already available.

Connecting multiple vehicles in road trains that can cross continents is the main idea of the concept, but this can be possible only after the “green corridors” idea will be implemented in the construction of highways. The idea involves the development of “green lanes” dedicated to fright transport and separate it from the other traffic. The advantages would be increased traffic safety, more space in traffic, reduced road wear, fuel consumption and CO2 emissions are reduced due to lack of friction with the air and the driver can relax at the wheel while the truck drives itself, all this leads to a reduction in transport time and delivery.

Big Trucks

This blog will mostly cover things dealing big and heavy trucks like the companies that construct them and what new models are out.
